We know it’s a sizeable investment you would be making and appreciate you may need sometime to make an informed decision and you might want to get quotation’s from other companies which is understandable, all we would advise is that you do your research before you choose.

When using our overlay system one of the main factors is the preparation, when done correctly it can work out more cost effective for a resin bound driveway. ( depending on size). Other companies do not always work to the manufacture’s Specifications that leads to an inferior installation,(do your research) we pride ourselves in making sure all our teams work within the manufacturing guide lines.

So firstly we would prepare any steps, edgings, manholes, repair any holes etc…

When you have any cracks in the concrete what we would do is make them wider, infill them with resin to strengthen the surface, so when the final layer of resin is laid this will create a concealed drainage system leading the water away.

Put in any expansion joints if required.

Then make sure all the surface is cleaned thoroughly  from all debris and weeds, we would use a high powered jet wash to remove this. We would also apply a pet friendly weed killer to the whole area.

If the surface  is concrete a primer will be applied before the resin is laid , however it is not required for a tarmac surface.

After all the preparation is completed we lay the resin bound overlay system at 18-22mm.

The first thing the team leader would do is confirm your chosen colour .They would then set the specialised mixer up. The resin mixture has to be prepared in the correct quantities, the resin mix is then applied over the prepared area continuously from start to finish to ensure a seamless finish, as the resin is laid we would add a crushed quartz which sets into the curing  surface giving it a anti-slip surface.

The area is then cornered off to set and not to be walked onto for  4-6 hours , full cure takes approximately 24-36 hours to allow for vehicle traffic.
