What is Tarmac?

Tarmac is often thought to be the cheapest method of surfacing a driveway, forecourt or pathways. Consisting of broken stones mixed with tar.

Tarmac is a strong, durable, water-resistant surface.

The ground is excavated to a level surface followed by a Sub-Base of MOT Type 3 Limestone hardcore (excavation will depend on existing surface) along with a binder base coat with an added layer of topcoat which is then compressed evenly, leaving the surface smooth.
