What is Block Paving?

Block paving also known as brick paving is a commonly used decorative method of creating a path or hardstanding.

Bricks are typically made of concrete or clay, though other composite materials are also used. There are many different laying patterns that can be achieved using block paving and are available in an array or colours styles and different sizes.

  • Pressure washing not recommended
  • Certain colours show wear and tear (try to be sensible with colour choice)
  • Never use common salt to de-ice
  • Initial cost is expensive​​​​​​​
  • Efflorescence (Salt marks) can appear at any time​​​​​​​
